A dissipating cold front will bring showers to the area tonight and Friday.

While widespread rain is not expected, some showers tonight and Friday morning could be on the heavier side. Models disagree still regarding when the rain ends on Friday, but the general idea seems to be a drier afternoon with slowly clearing skies. Temperatures remain near 80 for Friday and climb into the low to mid-80s for the weekend.

Weather remains quiet for the weekend with sun and clouds and a stray shower chance. By Monday a stronger cold front approaches the area, ushering in a pattern shift for the second week of January. Sunshine and cooler weather will arrive behind the front with highs back in the mid-70s for much of next week.
