NAPLES, Fla. – Crave Culinaire, the catering business founded by local chef Brian Roland, will return to full capacity operations just over a month after an accident at a Ferrari dealership in Naples left Roland hospitalized with serious injuries.

The company made the announcement in a press release Friday stating Crave Culinaire and all of its sister companies will return to full operations while the team waits for Roland’s recovery.

“As a whole, Team Crave has banded together as a family, risen to the occasion, and doubled down on their commitment to continue Chef Brian and Crave’s mission of delivering unforgettable hospitality experiences to each and every client and their guests,” company officials said in the announcement.

Roland, a beloved chef and member of the SWFL culinary & charity scene, was airlifted to the hospital on December 4 after an accident involving a vehicle elevator at the Ferrari dealership at 11291 Tamiami Trail North.

An attorney for Chef Brian Roland’s family provided the most recent update on his condition on December 17, saying in part:

We would like to thank everyone for the ongoing love and support for Brian and our family. The care shown from our community has been more comforting than we can express. We are still learning the extent of Brian’s injuries. At this time, he is stable and we anticipate that his recovery will be long and challenging. We continue to ask for privacy during this time and appreciate your understanding. “

Nicole Roland, wife of Brian Roland, released this statement after an outpouring of support following the accident:

“We are fortunate enough to have so much support and so many prayers coming our way, which is propelling us forward each and every day. We are a strong team and we excel at working together to achieve a common goal, which is to provide the very best service to our clients imaginable. We can’t begin to thank everyone for their support through this challenging time.”

Acting General Manager Joshua Cook said, “Chef Brian has instilled in us an excellence that can’t be shaken, and although things are a little different right now, we’re continuing to move forward and provide outstanding experiences for our clients, and we’re doing this together.”
